In observance of International Women's Day, Majuli University of Culture commemorated the occasion by hosting an eye examination camp on its campus on 8th March, 2025.
A team of five medical professionals, led by Dr. Rajib Das and Dr. Kiran Borah from Assam Medical College, conducted the examinations. Approximately 150 individuals received comprehensive eye assessments, along with necessary medications and corrective lenses.
Furthermore, arrangements were made to facilitate the transfer of patients requiring surgical intervention or advanced treatment to Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh.
Majuli University of Culture expresses its profound gratitude to Assam Medical College for this valuable collaboration.
The camp was executed with exemplary dedication by the members of the Women's Cell, under the coordination of Dr. Himadri Saikia, and with the support of the university's staff. This initiative is dedicated to the well-being of women worldwide.
